Rootwells are excellent permanent performers in compacted soils and all other soil types. It is designed for use as a stand-alone solution or connected to an irrigation system.  Rootwells also eliminate the tree watering bags.  As AG grade “Gray Water” becomes more common, it can be used for that as well.

ROOTWELL PRO-318 is 18” high and 3” in diameter. With over 2,000 sidewall opening to allow air and water to access every point in the root mass from top to bottom.  This is the feature that allows Rootwell PRO 318 to overcome compacted soils problems as the air and water enter the root mass vertically from above, then it moves horizontally to access all the roots at all levels in the soil strata.  The high-performance  AIR-CONVECTION engine provides 24/4 continuous exchange of stale subsurface air with oxygen-rich above-ground air.  Trees cannot survive without Mycorrhizae fungus that is present in most all soils.  The Rootwell PRO-318 allows the Mycorrhizae to activate,  grow, and source the roots that will, in turn, cause abundant root development and vigorous overall tree health without fertilizers.

The unique top cap (green or black) of the ROOTWELL PRO-318 has several additional features, as well.  It allows access to the entire root mass to manually add water, mycorrhizae, fertilizers, medicines, at any time.  It also allows the Rootwell to be connected to Low Volume Irrigation Systems.  There is a convenient stem port to place a locator flag during installation. The Air Convection engine opening also is on the top as well.
