Oppold New Mix Lab & Company, L.L.C., was established in 2023 following the acquisition of ISTRC New Mix Lab, LLC and the resignation of Bob Oppold from the International Sports Turf Research Center, Inc. This new venture leverages Mr. Oppold's extensive experience from his tenure at ISTRC. The company specializes in testing, consulting, and teaching, with a focus on the analysis and evaluation of materials for various turf applications under challenging conditions.

The testing services encompass new construction inputs and existing turf areas, with notable projects including the Boston Rose F. Kennedy Greenway and various prestigious golf courses. Bunker sand and gravel testing follows protocols developed through field research.

Consulting services range from on-site drainage evaluations to staff training and expert witness roles. Soil chemistry and biology remediation of contaminated soils is an emphasis based on field research.

Additionally, Mr. Oppold has delivered multiple seminars and webinars for the GCSAA and other organizations on topics such as soil chemistry, golf greens construction, and managing existing turfgrass environments providing practical contributions to professional development within the turf management community.
